Grandmaster Clarence Tai Gu Lee, beloved teacher, friend, faithful companion, sweetheart, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and brother passed away peacefully on October 8, 2016. He was born in the Palama Settlement in Honolulu, Hawaii, on April 2, 1927, the eldest of five sons. He was raised in Honolulu and proudly served his country in the United State Army during World War II. He moved to San Francisco in 1953 and worked as a machinist until his retirement.
