In a 175-lot auction that included cars, motorcycles, memorabilia, garagenalia and heritage number plates, the top-selling car was a concours-standard 1971 Ferrari 365 GTC/4, which sold for $425,000, while a rare 1977 Holden LX Torana SL/R 5000 A9X sedan made $196,000 and an equally rare Ford Capri RS3100 ‘homologation’ coupe went for $133,001.
Proving the growth in demand for newer cars amongst collectors, an immaculate 1987 Nissan HR31 Skyline GTS-R coupe sold for $80,000, while a 1990 HSV VN Commodore Group A SS went for $103,000.
