Fifty-five years after the last Aston Martin DB5 was built, production is underway again, with work commencing on a 25-unit limited-edition of ‘DB5 Goldfinger Continuation’ cars at the Newport Pagnell factory in May. “Seeing the first customer car move painstakingly through the intricate production process we have created really is quite a thrill,” said Aston Martin Heritage Programme Manager Clive Wilson. “Obviously we have not, as a business, made a new DB5 for more than 50 years, so to be involved in the building of these cars, which will go on to form part of Aston Martin’s history, is something I’m sure all of us will be telling our grandkids about!” Created in association with EON Productions, producers of the James Bond films, the DB5 Goldfinger Continuation cars were announced…

Graysonline have some very special cars consigned for their Queensland Classic Car auction in June, with two examples of classic Aussie muscle leading the way. The 6-day timed online auction, commencing on 25 June, will be led by a 1972 Holden LJ Torana GTR XU-1 and a modified 1971 Ford XY Falcon GT. While highly desirable in their own right, what makes these two cars extra special is their connection to Australian motor racing legends. The Torana is a genuine ATCC car and was campaigned through the 1974 season by Bob Morris. One of more popular nameplates in Mustang history is set for a comeback, with the Mach 1 to return for the 2021 model year. Announced on 29 May, the new Mach 1 will launch later this year as a special edition for the North American market.
