In 2004, Karen Gravesen and her husband, Peter, moved to the Danish town of Lindved as a newly-wed couple. The locals call their villa, a classic brick villa from 1927, "Odgaards hus" (Odgaard’s house). In the local archives, you’ll find old pictures that show the role of this house in local history.
When Karen and Peter bought the house, it had just been renovated by a local bricklayer, but they still managed to influence the choice of kitchen elements and other details. Later, amongst other things, they added Karen’s atelier – a light and spacious workshop with skylights. A building defect forced them to renovate the bathroom, but that also gave them the opportunity to furnish it how they wanted to.
