Camilla, her husband, Thomas, and the couple’s children, Hannes and Maja, have been living in the Eastern part of Värmland, once the site of an old bergsman-farm, for 24 years. They also share this home with some sheep, dogs, cats, chickens and rabbits. When they bought the house, there was no running water, sewage system or central heating. They only had two small rooms and a kitchen, and they had to make do with a heating stove and an outdoor toilet. Despite such primitive conditions, it was a charming way of life. Today, they live in modern comfort and the house has been completely renovated.
