Nicole likes to decorate with flowers and twigs from the garden. For Easter, she also adorns the table with a selection of blown-out eggs from her chickens and quails. She uses neutral, simple tableware, napkins and linen tablecloths, and she prefers natural shades of beige, brown, white and gray. If there’s something special to celebrate, she brings grandma’s treasures out. Old sheets and towels are recycled and turned into tablecloths and cushion covers. We’re visiting the fairy-tale castle Chateau de Dirac which was constructed in 1800. The living areas just in the castle are no less than 5,380 ft2 (500 m2) and then add to that several additional buildings and a ground area of 8 hectares! The castle offers six bedrooms, a dining room, three bathrooms, a living room, a library and two entrances. The place was renovated in 2019 in a basic and timeless style which is neutral and offers the possibility of furnishing the rooms according to the season. The owners like to mix various elements with different origins and come up with new ways of combining the items to add a more modern expression to the interior design. Angelique has been living with her husband in this beautiful, old house from 1921 in Noord Limburg, Holland, since 1996. The couple has kept the original elements in the house whenever possible, and the elements that have been added later are made to look as if theyʼve always been part of the house. As an example, all the windows have been exchanged for double-glazed windows but in an old style. The couple removed the quarry tile flooring in the hallway and discovered a beautiful terrazzo floor underneath it that has also been renovated in order to reestablish the original house design. Diana wanted to live somewhere full of space, light and air in the countryside but she didn’t want to look after a big garden. She found this place at a farm north of the town of Aalborg in Denmark. Unfortunately, the place has recently been sold so Diana has to move on and embark on a new adventure along with her partner. There is no doubt that they want to continue living in the countryside. When Diana visited this place the first time, she immediately noticed the large windows in the kitchen. These incredibly fine and decorative eggs have been dyed in a natural way using plants that you can easily get a hold of. Making them is easy and fun, and the whole family can join in. What you need: 10-12 white eggs1 pair of nylonsTwineScissorsHerbs and flowers for decorating2 potsWater and vinegar1.7 oz (50 g) walnut shells for the brown eggs5.2 oz (150 g) ivy leaves, some fresh and some dried1.7 oz (50 g) dried stinging nettle What to do: Prepare the colors the day before. If you’d like to adorn your home, you can create the most amazing details by using transfer motifs, and you can use them on most surfaces. We experimented with glass, cardboard boxes, old books and wood. You can also use them on larger pieces of furniture. Remove the back and rub the motif onto the surface using the enclosed wooden stick. Afterwards, you can patinate your item with antique wax to make the motif look older. Pernille and Steen live in this red villa in Holbæk, Denmark, along with their youngest daughter, Josefine Cornelia, and their two dogs, Molly and Albert. When Pernille found this house on the internet one Sunday morning, the family decided to go to Holbæk on that same day to look at the house. They immediately fell in love with it and they moved in two months later. Pernille loves the nostalgic beach hotel style and the house has been furnished with striped wallpaper. This romantic Easter table has been laid with a light tablecloth with embroideries, white, romantic tableware and some Easter decoration items. Ramona has prepared a simple but evocative decoration for each setting, filling up a small cafe latte bowl with shreds of recycled paper with text and a brown egg that has been used as a small vase. Cut off the top of the egg, keep the content for cooking and rinse the eggshell thoroughly. Pour a bit of water into the shell and place some flowers and twigs in this small "vase". INSTRUCTIONS You need two-piece cardboard eggs, old documents, glue, brush, lace, coffee and a printer. You can use original documents or make copies. I decided to make copies because I had only a few documents and I wanted to make lots of eggs. I used handmade, cream-colored paper. Start by crumbling the paper. Add an even layer of glue on one half of the egg. Place the egg in the middle of the paper and wrap the egg by pressing the paper slightly onto the egg and by shaping it with your hands to make the paper fit nicely to the shape of the egg. Fold excess paper onto the inside of the egg. Let the other half of the egg keep its natural color to add a rustic expression…

Jane loves decorating the house and laying beautiful tables in the orangery, and needless to say, she uses lots of flowers. This table has been inspired by spring flowers such as daffodils, ranunculi, Italian scilla and the early tulips from her own garden. The table has been laid with old poor manʼs silver items, two types of old earthenware, old Swedish earthenware with a blue pattern, a cream-colored set from Aluminia, linen napkins and old roemer glasses. The tablecloth is light-pink. In the middle of the table, a collection of old cutting boards makes up the wooden base for the flowers that have been placed into green and transparent bottles. What you need: 1 floral foam wreathBirch twigs and other twigs from natureSteel wireFlower bulbsFresh flowersPerhaps some MaidenhairVine What to do: Tie the birch twigs onto the wreath using steel wire. Make sure they are nice and tight. Then wrap the other twigs around the wreath. We used twigs from a tobacco plant but you can use all kinds of twigs, including witch hazel, cherry or forsythia. Just make sure that your twigs are fresh and bendable. Rinse your bulbs to remove the soil and attach them to the wreath using steel wire. This house was constructed in 1932 and for many years, it was a small hotel. The owners divided the hotel into two separate houses and the couple now lives in one of them. They bought the house in November, started a large-scale renovation project and moved in six months later. Sadly, the hallway is the only room in the house with original elements but they have obviously been preserved. The couple runs their own brocante store so they immediately noticed all the possibilities offered by this building. In the historical center in the town of Luçon in the region Pays de la Loire in France, you’ll find this beautiful, old building which is big and light and has been furnished with dedication to the Gustavian style with lots of marvelous antiques. Violette, who lives here, loves old buildings and she also loves going to flea markets and antiques fairs. Luckily, she has a big house of no less than 4,488 ft2 (417 m2) where she can live out her interior design hobby. One of the big trends right now is making flower clouds out of dried flowers, and this is Tineʼs beautiful version. Sheʼs made it using bundles of dried flowers and a selection of accessories that she has collected in nature. You need lots of material so make sure to pick plenty. Apart from the flowers, youʼll also need some chicken wire, a hook and a piece of string. Attach the hook to the ceiling and tie a piece of string to the hook. Fold the chicken wire into the shape of a small ball and tie it to the string. Stick flowers and grasses into the chicken wire until itʼs completely full and looks like a ball.
