Reiner’s Run: Rave Reviews
Shawn Flarida and Shine N Spook, co-champions at last December’s National Reining Horse Association Futurity in Oklahoma City, wowed our Facebook fans when we put the pair’s finals video up on H&R’s page. “Best looking reining pattern I’ve seen posted in a while—natural head carriage, relaxed spins, smooth changes,” observed one commenter. “Now that is how a reining horse should perform,” quipped another.
We couldn’t agree more. Flarida, who hails from Springfield, Ohio, rode the stallion for owner Clark Reining Horses, LLC of Catlettsburg, Kentucky. (To read Flarida’s Private Lesson on developing good hands, or to see the video if you missed it, go to HorseandRider.com this month.)
