THE week belonged to Willie Mullins. Again. I cannot ever recall so many great horses in one yard at the same time and almost all did their thing by winning at the Kildare course last week; Facile Vega, Energumene, Gaelic Warrior, El Fabiolo, Klassical Dream, State Man, Impaire Et Passe, Echoes In Rain and Lossiemouth all finished the season with Grade One wins.
To win added brownie points for beating a Mullins hotpot in a top race at Punchestown, it now appears to require some thinking outside the box and bunging Fastorslow, runnerup to Corach Rambler in the Ultima at Cheltenham, into the Ladbrokes Punchestown Gold Cup was a masterstroke by Martin Brassil.
