IN THE GENES EXMOOR ponies dominated in the 122cm M&M working hunter pony final, with Debbie Barker-Runiewicz and her own 10-year-old gelding, Moonpenny Delphinus (Finn, pictured), taking top honours, reigning ahead of Frankie Currell with Jacqueline Wharton's stallion Dunkery Black Grouse.
Just an hour before the victory, Debbie jumped in the 133cm class with Finn's sire, Moonpenny Aquarius. What's more, second-placed pilot Frankie had Finn on her yard in between him leaving Lauren Brill, who backed him for his breeder Mary Rose Bryant, and joining Debbie.
“He probably has every typical Exmoor trait you could think of,” Debbie said.
