The championships ended on a low note for Australia’s Lyndal Oatley, who was eliminated from the special when the ground jury deemed the button-cute grey gelding Eros unlevel late in her test.
“He put his heart and soul into yesterday, and today the tension was a bit too much [resulting in] the irregular rhythm,” Lyndal said, adding that Eros was “absolutely fine”, but that the judges made the right call.
