THE 12 riders who will take part in a British Showjumping training initiative this year have been confirmed.
The International Experience Programme (IEP), launched in 2014 with the help of Sport England, is aimed at riders aged 16-30 who put themselves forward for selection, and provides support for those that are hoping to make the step up to international competition.
The selected riders were chosen after Chepstow International CSI2* (report, 12 May) and include Millie Dickinson, Hannah Downes, Kathryn Ellison, Rachel Gallop, Megan Howard, Charlotte Lee, Georgia Lovett, Laura Mantel, Charles Richards, Rebecca Symons, Rachel Walker and James Winter.
The programme offers course walks, FEI clean sport and doping workshops, talks on travelling horses abroad, veterinary advice and performance observations.
