RM Auctions returned in October to what has long been a mecca for car-collecting aficionados: Hershey, Pennsylvania. RM totaled an impressive $11 million in sales (cars and automobilia) on 150 vehicular lots offered, with a 94-percent sell-through rate. Though the sale was heavy on prewar classics, we did spot some pretty sweet muscle cars, such as an NCRS Top Flight-award-winning, fuel-injected, four-speed 1957 Chevrolet Corvette, that sold for $159,500, almost doubling the presale low estimate of $80,000. A slightly modified 1968 Chevrolet Camaro convertible, with a 350, automatic, and “SS” badging, pulled in $28,050.
