Some iconic, heavy-duty muscle, but plenty of bargains, too
Auctions America’s Fall Auburn sale, which coincides with the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Festival each year, typically sees a lot of prewar classics, vintage Fifties iron, and even modern European sports cars. But, like many general sales these days, muscle cars are more than just a cursory part of the mix. When reviewing the results, we particularly liked the pair of Trans-Am homologation specials, a 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 (below), and a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 (above) that sold for an identical $60,500, including the buyer’s premium.
