Dad and his late younger brother Milton held, in order, franchises for Packard, Kaiser, Willys, Jeep, Nash, Studebaker, Chrysler, Plymouth, Ford, and Mercury. Their adventure began June 15, 1953, when they opened Palma Motors, the Packard dealer in Paris, Illinois.
