When it comes to putting up the Christmas decorations, the Kanneh-Masons have surely set a new record at the family home in Nottingham.
“Yes, they started going up in September,” says 25-year-old pianist Isata, the eldest of the exceptionally talented musical family, as she and her brother, cellist Sheku, 22, quickly explain the reason for getting into the festive spirit so early. Over the past few months, they have invited cameras into their home for a special BBC2 TV programme following them as they prepare for their traditional Anglo-Afro-Caribbean style celebration.
