Taking advantage of the sunny weather, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge enjoyed a fun-filled day trip to the seaside last week.
William and Kate sampled the beachfront attractions of Barry Island in South Wales, the setting for the hit BBC comedy Gavin and Stacey , and surprised holidaymakers with their unannounced visit.
The famously competitive couple giggled as they tackled an arcade grabber and coconut shy game at Island Leisure amusements, where the show’s character Nessa, played by Ruth Jones, works.
Owners Hilary and Andrew Phillips were reopening the attractions for the first time since lockdown and their grandchildren Jamie Case, seven, his sister Hollie, five, and their friend Erin Phillips, also five, were on hand to help their guests.
