Aloe Blacc, the platinum-selling singer, songwriter and producer best known in the UK for his hit I Need a Dollar, has unleashed his inner romantic. The 41-year-old recording artist, who has enjoyed worldwide success with his blend of soul, folk, R&B and pop, including the global hit Wake Me Up, co-written with Swedish DJ Avicii, says that his music is usually about “affirmation, inspiration and motivation”. But the Panamanian-American singer’s latest album, All Love Everything, is very much inspired by his loved ones: his Mexican-Australian singer wife, Maya Jupiter, and their two children, Mandela, six, and four-year-old Satya.
