Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and her daughter Princess Estelle looked picture perfect at Stockholm’s royal palace last week. Sporting matching purple coats, the couple joined the traditional Victoria Day celebrations, which included a drum salute, as delighted onlookers gathered outside.
Three-year-old Estelle seemed enthralled with the proceedings, held in honour of all those called Victoria, and smiled happily at the crowds who had gathered in the spring sunshine. She also clapped along to the sounds of the orchestra, which played the festive march composed for Victoria’s 18th birthday and Abba’s Does Your Mother Know.
Notably absent was Estelle’s father Prince Daniel, who was missing his first Victoria Day since he married the Crown Princess in 2010.
