Once described as a “Victorian dandy-come-punk”, Kent-born Stephen Webster is one of the most flamboyant jewellery designers of his generation. He is not only the creative director for the world’s oldest jewellery house, Garrard, but he also heads the Stephen Webster jewellery company, famous clients of which include Madonna, Christina Aguilera, Cameron Diaz, Kate Beckinsale and Kate Moss.
Stephen, 53, is aided by his glamorous wife Assia, 40, who’s in charge of his PR and marketing. Together, they make a formidably stylish and well-connected team.
The designer’s latest high-profile commission was to create four designs for Swarovski inspired by the new James Bond movie, Skyfall. Bond Girl Bérénice Marlohe not only wore his pieces in the film, but also on the red carpet at premieres around the world.
