Super influencer Leonie Hanne is a perpetual high achiever. Before launching her fashion blog Ohh Couture in 2014, she worked as a strategy consultant for a German online retailer. She has three degrees, two in fashion and one in business from HSBA Hamburg School of Business, where she met boyfriend and business partner Alex Galievsky, who is equally motivated. “As his girlfriend, I’d prefer him to work less,” she jokes, when we speak before her cover shoot. “He’s very good at a lot of things, he liaises with brands, he’s my photographer, he films behind the scenes videos and now he edits them, too. Anne-Marie appears to be the epitome of a confident pop princess, but there is more to the 31-year-old than meets the eye. The three-time world karate champion got her first West End role performing in Les Misérables at six years old but, despite achieving so much at such a young age, she was often consumed with worry. “When I was younger, I just thought that’s what I was like. LIFE&STYLE Brazilian actress, fashion designer and businesswoman, Alessandra Ambrosio, began modelling at the age of 14, when she was one of 20 finalists of the 1995 Elite Model Look national competition for Brazil. Since, she has appeared in campaigns for nearly every big designer and walked for Chanel, Givenchy, Bottega Veneta, Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton. WASTE AWAY It’s reported that 70% of the beauty industry’s waste comes from packaging – amounting to 20 billion units every year. Cutting down on your own consumption might seem like a drop in the ocean, but small changes quickly add up. One of the simplest transitions you can make is to refillable products. Foundation bottles with plastic pumps are notoriously hard to recycle, but some brands are now offering refill options. Stop slacking JAW-DROPPING There are a number of reasons why definition around the lower face gets whittled away, including poor posture, side sleeping positions and ‘tech neck’. “As we age, we also lose muscle tone,” says Dr Ahmed El Muntasar, advanced facial aesthetics doctor. “We start to lose bone, too, which means the original shape of our jawline changes and weakens. The fat pads around the face move downwards and, in certain areas, increase in size, reducing definition further.” WORK IT OUT As a starting point, Dr El Muntasar suggests sleeping on your back, to reduce pressure on each side. “Improving the quality of your skin will help to maintain tightness, too.
