Legendary photographer, and personal hero of mine, Tim Walker shot our striking cover with model Edie Campbell and her BFF artist Christabel MacGreevy. Their fledgling fashion brand Itchy Scratchy Patchy collaborated with some of the biggest names in the industry to create a wonderland of graphic art and self-expression. Hardly a week goes by without a fashion week somewhere in the world. Search the globe from A to Z and you could, with sufficient funds and fashion credentials, be FROW all year round. The booming of far-flung fashion weeks has almost seamlessly fed into a fashion industry’s appetite for new discoveries – and Tbilisi’s emerging talent is certainly making waves. The emergence of David Koma and, more essentially, Vetements, headed by brothers Demna and Guram Gvasalia, placed the former Soviet state of Georgia firmly on the fashion map. With most brands now acknowledging the importance of designing, sourcing and manufacturing clothes in an environmentally conscious way, it’s never been higher on the agenda to buy fashion ethically. Swedish retailer Lindex was one of the first to tackle the challenges of sustainability head on, and has since introduced a number of pioneering initiatives, from its innovative Better Denim range (which uses 45 per cent less water in the washing process than standard denim) to its organic and recycled cotton. In 2017, the label also launched the We Women by Lindex project, which takes action for gender equality, creating more equal opportunities in the workplace. How much is too much? It’s normal to lose between 50 and 100 hairs per day. “Approximately 90 per cent of your hair is growing at any one time,” says consultant hair transplant surgeon, Dr Asim Shahmalak from the Crown Clinic in Manchester, “While the other 10 per cent enters a resting phase.” Every two to three months the resting hair falls out and allows new hair to grow in its place.
