The year is filled with all different types of holidays; almost every month has one of some sort. There are state, federal, national, religious and even “just because” holidays. Whatever the occasion may be, holidays bring together family and friends for a day of fun and laughter. Various social gatherings usually have one thing in common–food! It might be burgers, hot dogs and steaks on the grill during the summer months, or the traditional turkey and ham in the fall and winter. This is Hawai’i, so throw in the laulau, kalua pig, smoked meat, sashimi, chicken long rice and adobo.
