Hawaiians Counter Punch as Obama Anoints World’s Largest No-Fishing Area
President Barrack Obama flew into Honolulu to anoint the world’s largest Marine Protected Area at the International Union for Conservation Nature (IUCN), World Conservation Congress, the world’s largest environmental gathering. Gov. Ige, feeling the love, declared that 30 percent of Hawai‘i’s waters will be “effectively managed.” For Hawai‘i, this management means fishermen need not apply.
