It was Saturday, July 20, 2013, the second day of the 16th Annual K-Mart Shoreline Fishing Tournament. This expedition had been truly unique, filled with mana. On Friday morning at 1:15 a.m., as I lay on my cot resting, my fishing partner Pedro called out to me, “Raymond, try come outside. Get one rainbow.” Wow, was my thought as I stared at this amazing sight. A full silver-gray rainbow was coming out of the east ocean, arcing over Ha‘upu Mountain inland. The sky, ocean and mountain near the rainbow were uniquely incandescent. The area beneath the rainbow was glowing. I stood there, astonished. Incredibly, the moon was nowhere near this rainbow. It was behind us, in the lower westerly sky, while this picturesque appearance revealed itself in the east.
