■ It was a beautiful Saturday morning on March 3, 2012. At about 4:30 a.m., I, my wife, Carryssa, and a couple of my ho/oho lo friends, Kalani Ellis, his girlfriend, Kelly, and my uncle Lance Kalamau, made our way to our "killa" holoholo spot. We couldn't wait.
When we got to our spot, the waves were crankin'. The boys had second thoughts about staying at our spot, but I told them, "Brah, we holoholo Hawaiians. Nothing going stop us."
Soon as we unloaded, we went to catch some "big-kine" bait to swim out. Around lunchtime, we started to rig up the poles and started swimming the lines out.
We had some live action! When I was swimming out the lines, it was storming. We had lightning, and the ocean…
