The Western Pacific Regional Fishery Management Council and the National Marine Fisheries Service are preparing a Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) for the Bottomfish and Seamount Groundfish Fishery of the Western Pacific Region. The SEIS will analyze a range of alternatives to end overfishing in the bottomfishing species complex in the Hawaii Archipelago. The public is invited to comment on the issues, range of alternatives and impacts that should be analyzed in the SEIS during the following public scoping meetings:
