■ The Atlapac Fishing Club’s premier Weigh-masters Classic Shoreline Fishing Tournament got off to a great start on Friday, May 21, 2004, at noon with 235 anglers registered. The men’s division dominated with 170 entries, the women’s division had 19 competitors, the teens had 20, keikis 9 to 12 years old had 13 entries, and keikis 4 to 8 years old also, had 13 anglers. The weigh-in, held on Sunday, May 23, 2004, from 11 a.m, to 1 p.m,, marked the official end of the tournament.
In the men’s division, 11 anglers weighed in a total of 12 ulua, The largest ulua was caught by Atlapac Fishing Club member Michael Arakaki and tipped the scales at 55,8 lbs.
