▪ Cory Yamauchi’s passion for fishing started at a very young age. He has enjoyed every moment of every family outing with his parents Richard and Naomi Okinaga and his brothers and sisters Cale, Ricky, Brandee and Jennifer. Entering the annual Hilo Casting Club tournament has been a huge summertime event for the family. Last year’s 27th annual tournament was a pleasant one for Cory, as he landed an 81.8-lb ulua and earned fifth-place honors.
All of his hard work over the years finally paid off. At this year’s 28th annual tournament, Cory garnered more blessings than he could imagine.
