My son, Vincent, and I would like to share our dream come true with you and our fellow HFN readers.
After a year-long project rebuilding the transom on a used 22-foot Sea Ray, we now have upgraded from a P 14. We call her the AINOKEA (Mahalo, Freddie Morris), loosely translated to mean, “mo’ beta fishing than homework.”
On-July 12, 1997, we launched at He’eia Kea and spentthe day at the sandbar with my wife, twin daughters, grandpa and nephew, Kevin Frank. At about 6 p.m., we off-loaded, leaving my son, nephew and me on board. We headed out to set anchor in the bay, spend the night and do a little trolling the next day.
