■ On January 16,17 excited people ventured out on a three-day, two-night camping and fishing trip along the south side of the Big Island. At 5 a.m. that Saturday, Kevin Araki, Dean Daikawa, Jason Kusumoto, Mark and Alison Lee, Arlene Mihara, Scot Minemoto, Marcia Miyazono, Kevin Murakami, Dean Nakanishi, April Nakano, Nelson Panem, Ella Santiago, Gerald Seigaku and Cyril Takaesu met at Glen and son Kurt Kajiwara’s house.
At 5:30 a.m. these happy campers began their long journey to their camping ground. They arrived at about 9:30 a.m., and the first thing that went up was the tent.
