■ The Underwater Society of America has announced plans for the 1985 SCUBA Nationals to be held at Ogallala, Nebraska, on June 14, 15 and 16. The National SCUBA Championships are being hosted by the Great Plains Diving Council and will be conducted in Lake McConaughy near Ogallala.
SCUBA skills tested in the competition will include gear exchange, buddy breathing and underwater navigation. Spear fishing for all species of rough fish except shad will also constitute part of the competition.
Underwater Society of America plaques will be presented to team and individual winners. Patches will be given to all entrants, judges and officials.
