INNERSPACE PACIFICA ’79 TO FEATURE UNDERWATER FILMS, PHOTO CONTEST, TRITON AWARD AND DEMONSTRATIONS
Innerspace Pacifica ’79, a festival of underwater films, Scuba diving seminars, safety demonstrations and photography competition showing the adventure, intrigue and beauty beneath the world’s oceans, will be held at Honolulu’s air-conditioned Kaimuki High School Auditorium on Nov. 2 and 3, 1979, with repeat screenings at Baldwin High School, Wailuku, Maui, on Nov. 9 and at the University of Hawaii/Hilo Auditorium in Hilo, Hawaii on Nov. 11.
Sponsored by the Hawaii Council of Diving Clubs (HCDC), the festival will include “six of the finest underwater movies ever,” said Gary Jung, HCDC president and chairman of the festival.
Oahu emcee this year will be “the pride of Kalihi,” Larry Price, former UH football coach.
