My wife’s son Jayson was raised in the Philippines and arrived in Hawai‘i in his teens. He has served in Iraq, Kuwait, the Philippines and, most recently, Egypt as a member of the National Guard. Married with two kids of his own, a new house, long work hours and continuing military obligations, he’s a busy guy. Aware of my passion for pursuing upland game birds, he one day expressed an interest in learning about hunting.
