Every year, I sit down to write the Luxury Issue editor’s letter and wax lyrical about how, for me, time is the ultimate luxury. It still is, especially precious time with my two daughters,but this year I’m going to drill down a little further, as I’m inspired by our Luxe List on page 160. When I joined BAZAAR UK as deputy editor after a decade of writing from home, I worried how I would cope with many things:childcare,a new computer system, the commute, missing my dog. Back in the late 1970s, the small, teardrop-shaped island of Sri Lanka was rapidly building a reputation as one of the hottest tourist attractions in the Indian Ocean.
