I looked out over the city and pondered the depth of despair Jesus felt when He was praying in the garden. Forty five years ago, a man named Floyd Beck lived in a small town called Dahlonega, Georgia. Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, this dot on the map earned the nickname “The Gold City” after the second most significant gold rush in the United States in 1828. Floyd’s father had a Gospel quartet by the same name in the 1950s and Floyd had a desire to revive that group in honor of his father.
