Every room was like a giant surprise, filled with intricate details and beauty. One room in particular really took my breath away. It was the main dining hall with a grand fireplace, towering ceilings, the longest table I’ve ever seen, and a wall lined with beautiful, original tapestries from the 1500s. Being a history buff at heart, seeing those tapestries from the renaissance era was simply spectacular! Tapestries date back all the way to ancient Egypt, and have been used to share history through art. Flourishing during the renaissance, they were multi-purposed; lovely to look at, while also insulating castle walls.
