MOVING AND MEMORISING Exercise can improve people’s ability to memorise, retain and understand new vocabulary. A study following native Chinese speakers who were learning English had students ride exercise bikes at a gentle pace before and during the lesson. Compared to sedentary students, they picked up more vocab and were better able to recognise proper sentences.
