GMDC is a mining company that specializes in tungsten (wolfram) and operates in the city of Kigali, Nyarugenge District, Mageragere Sector. I was only 21 when I started this profession, more than 20 years ago. At that time, I was part of a cooperative called CODEMIBU, which was established in 1995. Artificial intelligence (AI) has made significant strides in all areas of our lives. AI can now monitor patients, safeguard buildings, improve manufacturing processes and write poetry. These are good uses of AI. There are, however, bad uses and characteristics of AI. For example, AI can discriminate against digital minorities such as people of African descent or ethnic minorities.
