THE SCOOP FARM TO FORK Kate Hlongo is a busy woman, juggling the workings of the Maradadi Farm, part of Indigo Fruit Farming, in Limpopo with capable hands. Only Nadorcotts are grown on the farm, the majority marketed as ClemenGold®. The Maradadi production unit comprises three farms, which are Maradadi, Ben Farm and Van Zyl, totalling 103 hectares of mandarins (a variety of soft citrus) for ClemenGold® and other brands.
‘When I started at Maradadi, I was mostly responsible for overseeing dayto-day farming activities, attending to farm compliance issues, and attending production meetings.
