Brandon: This summer in Hood River, specifically at the now famous Hatchery, saw an explosion in the new windsport discipline, parawinging. Partly, I believe, because of the world class conditions present almost daily in the Gorge. Ample wind, easy downwind access, and bumps galore made for ideal breeding grounds for parawing-curious participants. Riders came from all across the globe to sample the amazing conditions found 300 miles inland, created by our magical little wind machine. I certainly have been taking full advantage, logging some serious frequent flier miles on, or should I say above, the river.
