All Kinds of Fish Moving Down the Line
It’s fall migration time! Millions of small baitfish are heading south for the winter and hot on their heels are hungry predators. The offshore fishermen will have opportunities galore for catching migrating Spanish mackerel, kingfish, bonitos, blackfin tuna, sailfish, barracudas, sharks and dolphin fish near the surface. All these worthy fish can be targeted with 15- to 30-pound-class spin and conventional tackle. Or, with a livewell crammed with baitfish, one can chum and then cast a fly rod.
