Fishermen in South Florida have many species to target. Offshore, we have sailfish, marlin, mahi-mahi, wahoo, kingfish, cero mackerel, blackfin tuna, sharks, barracudas, and swordfish. Drop a bait to the bottom and you might come up with snappers, groupers, jacks, cobia, and African pompano. Inshore, we might target permit, tarpon, snook and bonefish, but there are others like seatrout, barracudas, snappers, groupers, jack crevalle, ladyfish, grunts, porgies, pompano, Spanish mackerel, and bluefish. What to focus on in June? Keep it simple and target the fish that are most numerous.
