The spring migration is underway. Schools of mullet again are on the move and hot on their tails are large predators. Now is the time to catch some of the biggest smoker kings of the season, dolphin over 50 pounds, sailfish over 50 pounds, blackfin tuna to 30 pounds, Spanish mackerel to eight pounds, and bluefish that might weigh 20-plus! And this is only the offshore migrating fish. On the inshore waters of Biscayne Bay, Spanish mackerel, bluefish, jack crevalle, ladyfish, pompano, tarpon, snook and seatrout are feeding on the smaller baitfish schools.
