Recently I went with Javier Guevara of Ecuador Fly Fishing Tours to Tucunare (meaning peacock) Lodge, owned by Alejandro Dias. Flights to Bogota, the capital, take about four hours from Miami. Spending a couple of nights there with friends was like being in Coral Gables, with lots of vibrant bars, restaurants and shopping areas.
