My shooting buddy, Chris Kelly, was practicing for an upcoming rifle match when I joined him on my shooting tower. I was carrying a couple of boxes when he looked up from loading a magazine. While he watched, I unboxed a new model from LaRue Tactical chambered in 6.5mm Grendel. Next, I pulled out the 1.5-6x42mm Burris scope, which had shipped separately. I snapped this onto the rifle, and then pulled out my old LaRue Tactical TranQuilo suppressor. After mounting this, I went prone, and while inserting the magazine, asked him if heâd mind spotting. âWhat load is it zeroed for?â he asked, as I settled in behind the rifle.
âDunno, I just took it out of the box,â I replied.
âWant to check it at 100 yards first?â
âNaw,âŚ
