The 7800 High Speed Landoll (HSL) tillage range is now available in Australia via Geronimo Farm Equipment. According to Geronimo Farm Equipment national sales manager David Fagan, the units can be pulled up to 15km/h over the ground, almost two times faster than most normal disc cultivators. “Most disc machines go over the ground and leave big ridges all over but the Landoll leaves a completely smooth soil surface when you’re finished,” he says. The 7800 HSL series consists of six models altogether — two three-point linkage (TPL) units at widths of 4 and 4.5m; as well as four trailing models with widths of 7.5, 9, 10.5 and 12m. Silvan says Selecta FarmEyes system is designed to aid on-farm project management by providing oversight for growing or production systems and rapid updates of work in progress. JCB is proudly British and has been building agricultural machines for almost 70 years. In 1945, Joseph Cyril Bamford built a tipping trailer for use by farmers: remember, this was at the end of World War II, when many farmers were old men or women. The trailer used scrap steel, an old Jeep axle and on the day his first son was born, Bamford sold his first unit. Three years later JCB built Europe’s first hydraulic tipping trailer. Deemed Australia’s premier farming event, the annual AgQuip field days was held in Gunnedah, New South Wales this year from August 18 to 20. According to Fairfax Rural Events group manager Kate Nugent, more than 3,000 companies; both local and international; signed up to exhibit at this year’s field days. “This year our exhibitor numbers are in fact up, we’re at a premium covering 26 hectares of static display and demonstration area with 3,000 companies represented on-site,” she says. “We’re very thrilled that we’ve been able to achieve that incredible representation of the Australian agricultural industry.
