Artist Claes Oldenburg was an American/ Swedish pop artist who was inspired by everyday objects, particularly food. He made gigantic sculptures of food, including a piece called Dropped Ice Cream Cone, which is located on the edge of the Neumarkt Galerie in Cologne, Germany. He used cardboard, burlap, newspapers, chicken wire covered with plaster-soaked canvas, and enamel paint. He was also famous for creating soft sculptures using materials such as fake fur, felt, or vinyl fabric.
