WHILE WANDERING  around a swap meet, Rick Randall came across this ’51 Ford F-1 truck you see before you, but it was in pretty rough shape. After talking to the man who owned it, Rick learned that if someone didn’t buy it soon, it was headed to the crusher. Next thing you know, Rick handed over some cash and saved the truck! Having friends who run a custom shop always helps, of course. THIS AMERICAN-MADE ’53-’64 F-100 Coyote Custom IFS is engineered for easy installation, enhanced drivability and a broader range of alignment adjustments. Shortly after, he buys Graceland for $100,000. Of more important note, Dwight D. Eisenhower announces he will run for re-election (he would end up winning), and signs the Federal Aid Highway Act, thereby creating the Interstate Highway System. In…

T THIS ’56 F-100 WAS PUT TOGETHER AS A HOT ROD truck back in the early ’90s. It has a 302 out of a late ’80s F-100 and a C-4 trans. We ran the existing motor on the dyno and then did a cam, head, and manifold swap to see if we could get some decent power over a weekend without breaking the bank. The upgrades were successful, with a 35% increase in horsepower and 25% in torque. With our previous A/C installation, an AOD trans and rear end gear swap, and the newfound power, the old F-100 was now really fun to drive and even started seeing some 65-mile daily commute duty. HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO win this 1969 Ford F-100 that’s been completely customized by Lucky 7 Speed Shop? That’s just what happened to Gene Moberly while attending the first Goodguys National Car Show in Kentucky. Gene was showing his ’77 Pontiac Trans Am, “Smokey and the Bandit,” and his wife was showing her red ’53 Chevy pickup. Gene won the F-Body award, by the way. AT THIS POINT IN THE game, if you haven’t heard the name Tony Leal or Slammed64s, then you’re probably not an avid reader of custom truck mags, or maybe you’re newer to the classic custom truck game altogether.
