BRITISH WIZARD NEWT Scamander arrives in 1920s New York by ship (apparently floo powder hasn’t been invented yet), with a magical suitcase filled with magical beasties. But a mix-up with a baker carrying a similar suitcase sees the creatures let loose in the city, precisely at the moment when the Magical Congress of the USA is struggling with keeping the existence of the magical world a secret.
