Check out this group of rocky, wobbly, fishy, slippy, sleek, scary – but never hairy – hunters found around the UK coast. You might be surprised by some of the ‘killer’ predators that made it on to this list, because it looks like size is no measure of success when it comes to top hunting skills!
1. Angel shark – critically endangered, rare and super-camouflaged ambush predator
Angel sharks don’t look like sharks – they are more like rays and skates. The flattened pectoral fins around the head make them appear to have wings – just like an angel! I guess that’s where they get their name.
